Hudi's Tactical Level III+ ballistic plates are lightweight plates that offer protection against most common rifle threats. They comes in 2 sizes: M - 10x12 & XL - 11x14.
These plates has been independently tested by NTS-Chesapeake (NIJ approved lab) according NIJ-STD-0101.6 standards with 2 rounds of 5.56 M193, 2 rounds of 5.56 M855 and 2 rounds of 7.62 M80 and had zero penetrations. Please see the attached report for reference. A customer tested with a 30.06 hunting cartridge (non-AP) and the plate held up well, please see the 3rd video.
The plates are made from alumina ceramics with a polyethylene backplate (itself rated at Level IIIA). The ceramics has a mosaic pattern giving them improved multi-hit capabilities (compared to mono-block construction found on other sites).
The M size plates have built in anti-spall plates, eliminating spall and associated injuries, like the rest of the product lines.

Do they comes with two plates
Bought recently to test them out, Decided to take it out and do my own ballistics test before trusting my life to it. I was amazed what these plates will take. I ordered more to wear on duty. My old AR500 plates are great. But the weight gets to be an issues doing slow crawl searches, or wearing for extended periods of time. Bottom line I changed. Got the multi curve ultra light level iv for my front plate and level iii+++++ for the rear plate.
Item was received on-time. Well packaged. The plate appears to be well constructed. This plate has decreased the weight of my quick grab vest dramatically. As good, or better than AR500 steel plates based upon the literature. I am considering purchasing two (2) additional plates to change out the AR500 steel plates in my tactical vest, my reasoning is again, reduce the weight.
Received these plates Thursday and I ordered them Tuesday, I live completely across the country. They were shipped USPS in a Priority box with just enough packaging to protect them. It's then end of February 2021 now and per the stickers they were built this January. Build quality looks good, no bumps, glue, threads etc. These measure exactly 10" x 12" and my calipers out them at .78" thick. I did weigh them to be 7lbs 13 oz, so ~.2lbs heavier than advertised. These fit very very snug into my Crye JPC 1.0 size medium carrier on all sides. I won't be fitting any IFAK supplies, foam padding, trauma pads etc. in there as it's that tight all around. For the ballistic rating, price, weight, and availability I couldn't find anything even close. Would but again.
Is light. true measurement. They look and feel like quality.
