Hudi's Tactical Level III+ ballistic plates are lightweight plates that offer protection against most common rifle threats. They comes in 2 sizes: M - 10x12 & XL - 11x14.
These plates has been independently tested by NTS-Chesapeake (NIJ approved lab) according NIJ-STD-0101.6 standards with 2 rounds of 5.56 M193, 2 rounds of 5.56 M855 and 2 rounds of 7.62 M80 and had zero penetrations. Please see the attached report for reference. A customer tested with a 30.06 hunting cartridge (non-AP) and the plate held up well, please see the 3rd video.
The plates are made from alumina ceramics with a polyethylene backplate (itself rated at Level IIIA). The ceramics has a mosaic pattern giving them improved multi-hit capabilities (compared to mono-block construction found on other sites).
The M size plates have built in anti-spall plates, eliminating spall and associated injuries, like the rest of the product lines.
