The complete set weighs less than 5lbs and is great for emergency situations. The carrier is low bulk so it can be worn under a jacket for coat for concealment.

Hudi's Tactical Level 3A Ballistic Armor Plate weighs in at 1.2 pounds and measures 10x12", which fits in any standard sized plate carrier. Featuring an ultra slim 0.25" profile and ergonomic curvature.
These plates were independently tested by NTS-Chesapeake (a NIJ approved lab) according to NIJ 0101.6 standard with 6 rounds of 44 Mag, with zero penetration. We also tested them with 10 rounds of 9mm from 16" carbine from 15" away, with zero penetrations. All rounds were captured within 1/3 of the thickness.
It has a waterproof polyester/nylon cover ensuring your plate will last its 5 year shelf life. Rated at Level lIIA this plate is capable of taking multiple pistol rounds.
Please note, these will only stop handgun rounds, for rifle protection please get the Level 3+ plate.
