Hudi's Tactical Level IIIA ballistic armor soft panel weighs in at 1.2-1.5 pounds each and measures 10x12" or 11x14". It's 0.25" thick and is soft and flexible. It has a waterproof polyester/nylon cover ensuring the panel will last its min 5 year shelf life.
Rated at NIJ Level lIIA this plate is capable of taking multiple pistol rounds up to .44 Mag. We tested them with 10 rounds of 9mm from 16" carbine from 15" away, with zero penetrations. All rounds were captured within 1/3 of the thickness. We also tested with 00 buckshot from a 18" 12GA shotgun and all shots were captured in the first 3 layers of the sheets.
Please note these will only stop handgun rounds, for rifle protection, please get our NIJ Level III+ plates.
The panels have a soft foam backing to reduce trauma when hit. These are great for backpacks.
